Experiencing the global church is one of the best parts of being a missionary. Christians around the world worship in different ways than we do, they connect with different aspects of God’s character, and God makes himself known to them in unique ways that make sense in their cultures and ways of life. When we get to live life with Christians from other cultures, we get to know God more and experience how much bigger he is than we knew before.
Since 2006, the World Race has been sending squads of young missionaries around the globe to bring hope and love to people in 11 different countries, and along the way our Racers have delighted in getting to know other Christians they meet. They’ve met believers who are so committed to advancing the work of the kingdom that they will do whatever it takes. Their passion, faithfulness, and love for God is astounding.
Some of the most committed Christians in the world live in South Korea. It has become one of the largest foreign missions sending nations in the world, and the Korean church has one of the most passionate visions for missions of any country on earth.
We are so excited to announce that starting this September, we are pioneering a new World Race Korea route that will send a multicultural squad of Korean and American* Racers together on an 11-month World Race journey around the world. We’re hoping to have 30 South Korean and 30 American* Racers for this squad.
The route will go to: Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, China, Swaziland, Lesotho, South Africa, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Mexico, and the USA.
World Race Korea is an opportunity to not only experience the global church by visiting different countries – it’s a chance to live in intentional cross-cultural community and minister as one body. If multicultural missions is something you feel God calling you to, we invite you to join this new adventure!
