If you're planning on going on the World Race in 2013, you've got 29 days to apply.
In case you need more convincing on why exactly you should go, we've put together some reasons:
1. You'll get to experience almost all the major holidays on the field! You could spent Christmas in a cozy Romanian gypsy village or exploring the ancient temple of Angor Wat in Cambodia. Easter may include a mango hunt in the Thai jungle or hiking through the Andes mountains.
Plus, next time those holidays roll around and dinner table conversations of last year arise, you'll be the one able to say, "Last year, on New Years, I pet a baby lion…"
2. Somewhere, there's a little child playing alone, whose day would be made simply by you running over and playing patty-cake. And she'd really like it if you got on that plane.
3. You get to run, swim, hike, and jump off of really cool things that God has created.
4. You'll learn to hear the Holy Spirit's voice, join in what Jesus is already doing, and experience how the Father sees you.
5. You get to stop watching TV shows and movies about adventure and actually have one of your own.
6.You'll get to take pictures that everyone back home will be jealous of.
7. Jesus has 60 other people that he wants to place specifically in your life signing up for one of these routes as well, and you don't want to miss out on the amazing new family he has for you.
8. Jesus SAID TO GO into the nations and preach the gospel, so you SHOULD GO.
9. This little girl was sold in the market before her first birthday, and is now waiting for the next World Race squad to come and play games with her (she loves to chase you and giggles when you tickle her.)
10. God has been writing a grand story of redemption since the fall of man, and he's asking you to join with him. He told us he'd even let you alter the plot of some people's lives a little bit.
11. You don't technically have to shower. Really ever. You should. But you don't have to.
12. You'll have things written in your journal such as, "We danced in the rain with the Mozambiquan orphans, praising Jesus because he answered our prayers to end the drought, not the witch doctors."
13. Here at Adventures, we've already been praying for you. And we believe that God is the author of a great story. You know that moment in a story when someone has been waiting for that glimmer of hope and it shows up? That hope could be you.
Here are 3 easy steps to changing the world:
1. Go here.
2. Do this.
3. Then do this.
