I am the keeper of God’s dream. – Andrew Shearman

(thanks, Tara Bruce, for recording these; thanks, Philip Cron, for tweeting Tara’s post.)
Earlier this month, did you resolve to go overseas this year? Is “traveling the world” on your bucket list? Have you picked words like, “faith,” “go,” “trust,” and “adventure” for One Word for 2012?
Well, the July 2012 Routes have been full for a little while, but the September 2012 Routes have spots available. We encourage you to seize the opportunity to take care of all of the above by applying for the World Race for September.

Why not September? Here are the top reasons why to go on the World Race in September 2012:

  1. School usually starts in September, making it the perfect time to begin receiving the best education on adventure, community, ministry, and personal development you’ll get.

  2. It’s the beginning of autumn, often a season of harvest. By applying now and preparing, you’d be sowing seeds of faith; by the time you go in September, you’ll begin reaping the fruit.
  3. Trees turn a new leaf, and, well, you can, too, figuratively.
  4. The Eastern Orthodox Church begins their liturgical year then.
  5. Lots of countries celebrate their independence that month, you should, too.
  6. If you’re a fan of football, the American kind, it’s the perfect time to leave; this way, you miss an entire season rather than detaching yourself midway. We imagine weaning off of ESPN and fantasy football is akin to ripping off a bandage.
  7. Chances are your winter will be a warm one.
But really… now’s the time. Because maybe the World Race is God’s dream for you; and you are the keeper of God’s dream! Don’t keep him waiting; join the folks already preparing to go on the Race!
