Three stories that will make you go, “What?  Wait. Really!?!” That’s life on the World Race for you.

Katie Eason of the January 2011 V squad just got back from spending the month in Vietnam.  Her team visited an
underground church and heard the incredible testimony of the pastor who leads
it.

He spoke about going
from preaching one minute to getting tossed into jail the next. He described
the ways the police would brutally mistreat him. He took on the beatings for
the sake of Christ.

They kept him in the cell for 23 hours of the day, which
forced him to go to the bathroom on himself. Disgrace and shame are what the
police wanted him to be filled with but those things were forbidden to enter
his heart. Hope in Jesus is what He clung to…

Watch the video above and read more of his testimony.

The September 2011 A squad and January 2011 U squad ran into each other in Moldova this week and had an
awesome time of worship one night!  One of the girls from U squad broke her foot earlier that day.  She went to the doctor and got an x-ray
done showing just how long the fracture was in her foot.

Both squads prayed a ton for healing throughout that day.  Two days
later, she went back to the doctor for another x-ray and the fracture had decreased by half its overall length!

Christin Chiles on
the September 2011 Z squad, currently in the that-really-large-country-in-East-Asia, has been wrecked by the ways God’s opening
doors this month to influence some of the most untouched communities!

Our first night on our own in [town] the hotel owner took us on a
personal tour of the city all day which was such a gift to pray over the whole
city. We were able to pray and sing for the hotel man who had the kindest heart
ever.

That night we were kicked out of the hotel, but one police man came back
in the morning. He brought us breakfast, paid our taxi to the bus stop, and
sent us to [another town].  He set us up with a monk who took us on a
personal tour of the monastery there and invited us to his room for tea.

We were able to pray and sing for him (he has tears in his eyes). Are you
catching this? We prayed and sang for a monk in his room!

God has continued to
provide for us with meeting incredible people, being invited to eat at a
Tibetan’s family’s house for dinner, and we went on an overnight nomadic horse
trekking trip, and just so much more!
This month has been absolutely ridiculous!

Can’t wait to see how God
continues to move and use our team. I love that He has used this all women’s
team for such power and boldness in the country of China. For example, at one of
the monasteries we toured, there was a place that said “No Women Allowed” but
our monk took us in there anyways. What incredible power that we as a group of
women were able to go in and pray for that place. Absolutely wrecks me.
