that Brandon had to his 11 month journey.
3:27pm Picked
up at the Atlanta airport by Allison Johnston, Program Coordinator for the
World Race.
5:00pm Met with
organizations and Adventures in Missions volunteers putting on the experiential Social Justice tent
at Catalyst.
6:13pm Ate a
Chick-fil-A sandwich for the first time.
7:31pm Traveled
back to Gainesville, GA, to spend my second to last night on American soil.
October 6, 2011
5:52am Drove to
the Gwinnett Center with some World Race alumni. Not much sleep, but well-worth it!
7:34am Told a
crowd of several thousand from the outside stage about the World Race and that
I’m going to live out what God has called me to do: bring the gospel to the nations. Amazing experience!
So much excitement was in the air.
8:20am For two different things, people offered to help meet my needs. First, some Catalyst attendees offered me a place to sleep that night and others would give me ride to the
airport the next morning. So
encouraging to feel Jesus’ love tangibly.
7:40-11:50am
Shook hands and shared with hundreds of Catalyst attendees about what
God has called me to.
12:15pm Did a
backstage interview with Catalyst.
It’s so much easier to talk about a life calling that I know God has put
into me.
12:30pm- 5:30pm
Was given a hammock by Kammok for free to take on the Race and a
donation from a Kenyan supporting this journey. I also slipped into some sessions to hear some incredible
teachings. God is so good!
5:57pm Got to
tell the Catalyst crowd about what God had done that day through His people
stepping up. Incredibly humbling
and encouraging. Thank you
Catalyst!
6:30pm Ate some
pizza with the Adventures staff. Maybe
the last slice of pizza I’ll have for months.
8:34pm Met up
with my gracious hosts for the evening to spend my last night on American soil
for almost a year!
October 7, 2011
to catch my flight to Guatemala. Thank you to all who transported me to and from all over Atlanta!
It’s amazing to think that it’s just going to get better from here.
