[Drum roll]  For the first time, the Awakening will be right here in the United States!  On September 15-17, 2011, join the World Race community – alumni, family, and friends – for a time of worship, teaching, and remembering at Adventures in Missions’s headquarters in Gainesville, Georgia.

 

The Awakening gathers together people who want to mobilize a generation to be his will and bring his kingdom.  As it’s been just over five years since the very first World Race squad launched, the Awakening 2011 will be a time to remember. . . 
as a community, the stories from the Race;
as a generation, what the Lord has done;
as a movement, who we are called to be.

Here are some places where you can find some answers to your questions, like:

  • Go to our Facebook Event page (not a substitute for registration!) and write on the Wall.

What about you? What could the Awakening 2011 do for you?


At this point, you may remember that the previous two Awakenings gathered current World Racer together in one place and you wonder if this means that they’re coming to the U.S. Sadly, due to the logistical challenges of getting hundreds of people from all over the world into one place, as well as our heart to make the Awakening as feasible for the growing number of alumni, the Awakening will be for World Race (and Real Life, and other AIM) alumni, friends and family (we’re sorry). We’re a growing movement and we’re learning this as we go along — thank you for your understanding!
