:: Word from Seth Barnes | It’s Time We Learned to Raise the Dead ::

Isn’t it time we learned to raise the dead?

Jesus sent his disciples out two by two. He gave them authority, Matthew tells us to heal the sick, drive out demons, and raise the dead. But those kinds of experiences are so rare in our modern day and age that you can’t help wondering, “Does it happen any more? Do we really have that kind of authority?”

Jungle Fever
By Karen Wheeless
Where am I? That’s a great question! This month, we are spending three weeks in the Malaysian jungle. Sounds scary enough right? We have asked the name of the village a few times, had a mumbled response in a language that is completely foreign to us, and moved on. The World race has taught me not to ask too many questions, because no one knows the answer, except God.

It’s the Picture after the Picture
By Tara Stephenson
Something happens when you show someone their picture.  Especially those who may have never seen what they look like.  A joy comes over them and maybe for the first time they believe they are beautiful.  I have seen it time and time again.  Here are just a few examples.  I just simple take a picture and then show them.  When they look at my camera, I quickly take another one.  It is in that second picture the authenticity comes and JOY manifests itself.  And in that moment they believe they are beautiful. seeds and fruit: freedom in prison
By Carl Wilson
Sometimes we plant seeds and sometimes we see the fruit.
In October 2007, a handful of World Race teams spent the month partnering in ministry with the Long family and Kids International Ministries. At the end of their month, as they prepared to leave, they asked if any of the prisoners would like to be baptized.  One 21-year-old young man, Joel, was baptized.  A seed was planted.
