Where am I? That’s a great question! This month, we are spending three weeks in the Malaysian jungle. Sounds scary enough right? We have asked the name of the village a few times, had a mumbled response in a language that is completely foreign to us, and moved on. The World race has taught me not to ask too many questions, because no one knows the answer, except God.

Something happens when you show someone their picture. Especially those who may have never seen what they look like. A joy comes over them and maybe for the first time they believe they are beautiful. I have seen it time and time again. Here are just a few examples. I just simple take a picture and then show them. When they look at my camera, I quickly take another one. It is in that second picture the authenticity comes and JOY manifests itself. And in that moment they believe they are beautiful. Sometimes we plant seeds and sometimes we see the fruit.
In October 2007, a handful of World Race teams spent the month partnering in ministry with the Long family and Kids International Ministries. At the end of their month, as they prepared to leave, they asked if any of the prisoners would like to be baptized. One 21-year-old young man, Joel, was baptized. A seed was planted.
