Ten days of training.  Eleven countries.  Eleven months.  Roughly 264 hours of transit.  $14,000+.  Frequent flier miles to last a couple lifetimes.  But World Racers don’t keep track of numbers, yes, even those in charge of team finances.

They remember names and faces and hearts.

Tiffany tells us,

Traveling the World to Love the One“From the time I was a little girl, when I was maybe five years old
(before I even really knew what Africa was), my dream was to go to
Africa and tell people about Jesus.  As I grew older, my dream never
changed.

My passion for Africa. . . only grew
in intensity and in clarity.  God brought people in and out of my life
to stir a passion and a love in my heart for the people there.  I cared
so deeply for people I knew nothing about.
I prayed for Africa every night, and thought about it all day long.  It was my dream to go there.
And 15 years later, after countless heartbreaking cries for God to redeem and rescue Africa, God brought me to Nsoko, Swaziland. . .

. . . to meet a boy named Clive. . .

. . . I grew to love this boy more than I can ever really explain.”
Read on here to glimpse more of how she did love this one boy.

Jacob Hoyer, an October 2008 World Race alumnus, drove hundreds of miles across the U.S. to prophesy over and encourage Alex, an October 2008 World Race alumna:
I got an email from a World Race
teammate of mine.  She lives in
Dallas and she was having a hard time finding peace about the next season of
her life.  She wanted me to speak
into her situation.

My first
thought – “I’ve got to get to Dallas.”  First she said she wouldn’t be around at the right time to fit my
schedule.  At first I was
discouraged, then I decided to change the schedule. . .

As the Race wound down we talked a lot about how we would
drive across the country for one another.  We said that if there was ever any
reason we needed one another we would stop at nothing to be there. It feels good to have put my gas money
where my mouth had been.

While in Serbia, David Hepting and a couple of his teammates were just jamming when one man was drawn to the sound of God’s praise.  Soon after, this man, named Darko, shares his heart with them then David, Grant and Casey were able usher God’s presence and draw him just that much closer to the Lord.

This is the impact the three of them made on Darko:
He pulls out of his pocket a little metal golden heart and gives it to
me. Then later his gives one to Casey. He says “Here is a piece of my
heart, today you have become my friends. Because of my troubles I have
repelled so many people but today I have new friends.”

The World Race won’t send you to places.  The World Race sends you to people.  God brought Brandon Clayton to Nelson in Lira, Uganda.  So the question isn’t where does He want to send you, but
Who does God want you to meet?
Apply and let God introduce you to someone.
