For this month team SE7EN is paired up with team 12:18 in Kitale, Kenya. Joining us for this month is a girl from Georgia named Haley. She is participating in the Real Life mission trip, and AIM placed her with our team. She has been quite the blessing for our team. We have all enjoyed her company.
The living conditions are rough this month. We have one toilet for 17 people, and it doesn’t have a seat. You either squat and work out your quads or you sit on the toilet as is. The showers are cold, however, you can fill a bucket with hot water and bathe in that.
We’re living in our ministry contacts home this month, so that’s pretty cool! On one of our first nights here we watched the Lion King and then wrestled with their children in the den.
Our main ministry this month is construction. That makes 3 months now that our team has done construction! Honestly, I really enjoy mixing cement, shoveling piles of sand and rock, pushing wheel barrels, and building homes and churches! It’s nice to know we’re a part of something that will affect the lives of others.
I had the opportunity to preach yesterday. I was asked to speak that morning before we left for church. I planned on speaking about Jesus healing the paralytic, but during the worship songs I was led to speak on stepping out into the destiny God has called us to. I was anxious at first. I felt like I was unprepared, yet I was calm the entire time. It was nice to just listen to God give me the words for His children.
After church we went to a home and had lunch. Rice and beans is a very common meal here. The home we visited was made from a mixture of mud and cow dung. It amazes me each month to see how other people live around the world.

Our internet is extremely limited for this month and possibly the next two months. I will try my best to keep you updated on what’s happening with us.
