Last month we lived in Penang, Malaysia. The place we stayed was literally right in the middle of 3 different religions. To the left of our house we had the Malays (Muslims). In front of our house was "Little India" and the Hindus. To the right and behind our house were the Chinese which included Buddhists and other Chinese ancestoral worhipers. Needless to say there was never any shortage of excitement. We had fireworks go off around our house at some point during the night almost every night we were there.
This video came from a 4 or 5 days stretch towards the end of our month when all of the religions were having festivals that just happened to be taking place right outside our front door on the street. Here is a taste of what that was like. Oh yeah, and did I mention most of them started a little before midnight?!?
