What were once 49 random people have now turned into one big family.

I really care about my squad members. I knew that we would all become close eventually, spending 11 months in close quarters with one another. But to my surprise, it actually started at Training Camp… even within just a few days.

Something just felt right about our squad. I mean, maybe part of it was our letter, B (B Squad=Best Squad! What!). Maybe part of it was our swag. Whatever the reason, we seemed to let go and connect!

I saw a lot of selflessness that week at Training Camp that seemed to be infectious. God was really moving! The great thing is that it has continued on! We have our own Facebook Page, and of course phones where we keep in contact. We post funny pictures, encourage each other through tears and struggles, support each other with fundraisers, and talk about how the heck to fit all our stuff into 1-2 bags for a year!

I love these people, and I can’t wait to see what is in store for us! But trust me when I say that whatever God has for us, it will be BIG!

HOWEVER, we need EVERYONE on our squad to be a part of this. We are 1 body with many moving parts (gifts). Every person is vital to this mission. I love each one of them!

With that said, I still have some squad friends/fantastic people that could use your help! Melissa Johnson, and Cody & Stephanie Carter Stutzman still need to raise around $2000 each, and the World Race 2nd deadline is TOMORROW!!! They cannot leave unless they raise this money, so Please consider donating to their cause.

Melissa Johnson is an extremely sweet girl who is very talented in the arts (photography, music). She has a gentleness and quietness about her that I really enjoy, and find encouraging and soothing. I need more of that spirit sometimes! haha.  She is super committed to The Race, and really feels like this is where God wants her! She’s going to rock!

Cody and Stephanie Stutzman are a married couple, who inspire me to have a marriage like that one day. Their love for each other and Jesus is so evident. They also have a love for children, and are as committed as any two people I’ve ever met. Cody is a quiet guy who has some real wisdom behind his words. He is very selfless. I enjoy talking with Cody. Stephanie has a huge heart and speaks a lot of encouraging things! She also seems to be willing to try new things and help in any way she can.

It will be the best Christmas present you could give them, even if you don’t know them! Donate at their blog site and follow along on the journey! Thanks so much!
