Hello! I wanted you to know that I will be participating in the World Race from January 2014 – December 2014. That’s right… practically an entire year! So, what is the World Race you ask? It’s an 11 month mission trip journey for young adults (ages 21-35), in which we will visit a total of 11 countries, spread the good news of Jesus, and help people in those countries in any way we can. After working on a cruise ship, I’ve heard personal stories from people all over the world about the struggles their countries face. I want to help. It will be an intense trip, both physically and mentally. We will be living amongst the locals in each country, equipped with our large backpacks that will hold all our personal belongings. Our group of 7 will be serving in a number of ways, including providing food, building structures (houses, wells, churches), visiting orphanages, praying with people, playing games with kids, visiting homes, and much more. Sometimes, we will be bathing in a river, or cooking food over an open flame. It’s not for the timid, and even as adventurous as I am, I feel slightly nervous. But this is something I know God is calling me to do.
I will be real with you. I am going to need a lot of money for this journey to be possible. $15,500 to be exact. This amount covers all my expenses in the field. Obviously this is a daunting task, so I ask kindly that you consider supporting my cause financially. It can be a one-time donation or a monthly donation. If 50 people give $25 a month for 12 months, I’d be 100% funded! That’s half a tank of gas each month in exchange for lives impacted. I would appreciate your support very much and be humbled by any gift. Whether you donate or not, your prayers and thoughts would mean so much to me. Prayers are essential to this expedition, and I could not imagine me getting very far without them.
