Hey I have some crazy awesome news!!!
Well I've been in Mozambique for almost 2 weeks now and its been the most incredible period of growth I have ever experienced in my life. My relationships with the new ministry has been flowing all so well and what Angie Wheeler needs we get done. Our teams have fully been here for her 100%. She is a busy woman trying to take care of the BIG B.O.H.A. family here. That is why I have decided to informally adopt 7 new brothers into our WR family. This came after much discussion and deliberation about the proper way to adopt 7 full grown men into our craziness life style.
But after any all nighter we decided a nice simple hug will do…
Beacon of Hope- Africa is a small but powerful ministry that Angie started about 11 years ago. She is from Texas so lets just say our talks about GOOD FOOD always make our days even better. But very VERY surprisingly we have been feed super well here. Almost like KINGS!!! (if I knew what a Kings ate). Jesus has been feeding our souls too (So MUCH). My teamates have told me many times what a natural leader I am and how much I am driven to grow. How intentional I am about changing for the better and listening to what God has to speak. That my words of encouragment and power build relationships like none have ever seen. That I'm learning to reconnect with my true identity and how that comes in Jesus.The Lord has not let this month go untouched with already many answered prayers like Angie's much needed support to raise go to the "WILD BUSH" of Africa and do some projects with other missionaries (Tyler in the WILD episodes soon to come). To her son coming home after 45 days of Chaos and panic. Not knowing where or what or how he was doing.
But let me just write something to you that I scribbled down in my journey the other day after long hours of prayer and garden work.
Philippines 3: 7-8
"But whatever gain I had, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as RUBBISH, in order that I may gain Christ".
This passage transformed my thoughts and vision the more I read it. No longer do I search aimlessly for useless and expendable things but only am in search for more of the ONE who is eternal and glorious. Who's righteousness abounds in all things and lets face it…seriously kicks butt when it comes to defeating the enemy!
The very first Monday here we had our church service right outside the house we are staying at. The boys (or Men) sang some of the most amazing worship songs I have ever heard in their native tongue (shangaan). They sang a song Angie described as the demons fleeing song. It goes…Bom Bom Wop Wop Bom DaDaDa Ohmmmhhh….just joking "ah my amazing humor will never change no matter where I go"…ok anyway…
"When we sing and praise and worship in Christ's name ALL THE DEMONS have to flee". "So flee they do and no power or deception they can muster is aloud or able to be around" (all this musically sang out loud of course.)
We need more strong and powerful worship songs like this because it really puts it into perspective what we all have to deal with daily.
But truly I say that we have adopted these boys into our WR family when really they have taken us in. This is not our home or place we grew up but still their hearts have been open since day 1. These are the true things in our lives that we need to share and cherish. The Bride of Jesus (the Church) needs to be more of a family and care for each other like a family. "Consider EVERYTHING else RUBBISH!".
Our call is greater, our family is greater, our God is GREATER!!!
So humbled I ask you to pray for these Men and Angie and our new family that the Lord will bind us together in faith and change a generation. To bring new Men up in this world to lead our families and children. Daughters and Sons need Fathers rooted in Jesus to Love and care for their hearts. In the heart of Africa the heart of our Lord thrives.

July 1st next and last deadline. Only 2,500 left till being fully funded. I will write ALL of you when God works this amazing miracle. But until then please spread the word to ANYBODY you think or don't think will want to contribute.
