Hey all! If you’ve known me for a while, you have probably heard about my heart for ministry, and my desire for a life of service to the Lord. Well the time has finally come for me to go out into the world and put my heart to use. I am happy to announce that I will be embarking on the World Race in October! I will be spending about 3 months in three different countries over a span of nine months. I’ll be traveling to India, Malaysia, and Zambia, all while happily serving the Lord.
My heart has been called to ministry even before my calling to leave on a mission, and I truly believe this experience will take me even deeper into my relationship with the Lord. I’ve had the dream of embarking on an extended mission trip after high school ever since I was a freshman, and to finally be given the opportunity is a huge blessing! After spending some time serving at an orphanage in Haiti, the Lord definitely confirmed my calling to go out into the world and serve Him. This confirmation is probably the reason why I don’t have any big fears about leaving the country for nine months. (Ask me closer to my launch day, and we’ll see if I feel the same way.) As you can imagine, my parents think I’m going off my rocker leaving the comforts of home for the better part of a year, yet the Lord is calming my heart and preparing me for what is to come.
I know that I have a long road of hard work set before me, especially when it comes to financing this journey, but I continue to find myself waking everyday with a heart that is constantly pursuing the Lord and all of the challenges that come with it. I want to ask that you all keep me and my family in your prayers as I begin the challenging, yet rewarding, path that has been set before me!
