This
week we were amazingly encouraged. A new squad (X squad) was launched this week
in Bucharest. We were able to meet with some AIM staff who have prayed us
through this last year and they spoke life over us. Being told that we did a
good job and being thanked for working hard this year was so appreciated. We
also had the opportunity to meet the new team leaders for X squad. They prayed
over us and then we prayed over them. We were asked to share any wisdom we had
with them. Andrew and I preached for a good 5 minutes and it was really neat.
As we
walked away from that meeting, our spirits were rejoicing. Seeing those new
leaders reminded us so much of when we started the race. Sometimes in the daily
grind it’s so easy to forget the amazing ways this squad has grown, but we were
reminded of where we were when all this started and where we are now. God has
done some amazing things and has grown us all immensely. Seeing those leaders
and Sean, Caroline, and Erin brought some closure to the race and helped me to
sit back and realize that we’ve done well. We’ve fought hard for the people we’re
leading and we’re all better for it. There’s something so beautiful to seeing
someone getting from one place to a better place and knowing that God allowed
you to be a part of that. Whew I just got emotional on that thought. So with
two weeks left on the race, God is just blessing me with an opportunity to see
how He has moved this year and how rewarding it is to think that you were a
part of something so much bigger than yourself.
