About a week ago, the pastor we are staying with told me he had a crazy dream. He said that he dreamt that there was a woman who lived down the street from us that the devil was using to curse our ministry. Apparently in the dream this “witch” was speaking against our ministry and casting sickness on us.

When the pastor told me this, I think I said a quick prayer against this and then put it to the back of my mind. When all seven of our team fell sick this week and the pastor mentioned that dream again, I wasn’t about to put it to the back of my mind again.

On Monday, Nikki was diagnosed with Typhoid. On Wednesday, Gina was diagnosed with Typhoid and Keri was diagnosed with Typhoid and an Amoeba. My Typhoid/Malaria results came back negative, but the doctor said that I probably have the flu or could possibly have Mono again (nooo!!!!). On Thursday, Cassie and Aimee were diagnosed with Typhoid, and Tiffany with Brucella. Then- Andrew just called me today and said he has malaria…so now that’s eight of us. Thankfully everyone is going to be okay :). Please keep us in your prayers!

So basically, we’ve been a train wreck this week. Our main symptoms have been stomach issues and extreme exhaustion. There is no doubt in my mind that this is a spiritual attack. When God’s people start doing amazing things for Him, Satan feels threatened and attacks. We thought it interesting that in a time where we are learning so much about healing, Satan attacks our health. So we started praying against that witch down the street and binding the enemy away from us. We rested a couple of days and today, we decided to walk in healing and participate in a medical ministry in Kibera slum, one of the biggest slums in subsaharan Africa. It was incredible. I can’t tell you how many times I stuck a thermometer in armpits, shared the gospel, and prayed for healing today. We put on a free clinic and gave out medicines. Let me just tell you one story that answered some of my questions about healing in my last blog:

Our friend who was struggling with leg pain
Today I was praying with people and Jenny Ellis called me over to pray for a woman with her. She was having many problems with her leg and wasn’t walking well. We prayed for quite sometime. After praying, we had her walk around and she was walking amazingly! She was kicking her leg and moving it all around. We were all excited and then I went back to my business….semi-wondering if she was completely healed. Oh me of little faith! Well I went back to my work and eventually came back to the church. Jenny arrived around 30 minutes later and was excited. She asked me if I remembered the woman with the leg problem that was walking better. Yes. Did I remember the lady with back pain next to her? Yes I say. Jenny proceeds to tell me that as we were praying for the friend with the leg problem, the back pain lady is healed by watching and praying alongside us. What!? Yah, she came up to Jenny right before we left and she said that as she was praying and watching us, she felt all of her back pain completely go away and was able to move normally! Amen!

How’s that for a testimony being a cause for more faith?

Here are some more testimonies Jenny posted from today:

The little girl in the red, Gloria, was healed of her fever and chest pain today!! ๐Ÿ™‚

I prayed for this woman, named Emily, like 6 times!! She was hurt by a stick 1 year ago and has a blood clot in her leg. By the end of the prayer, her hip no longer hurt, her leg no longer had pain, she could actually feel the blood flowing to her food, AND the clot had gone down!! ๐Ÿ™‚ AMAZING! OH, and now she can walk without a limp!

And an amazing testimony from my grandma this week (thanks grandma):
I will share what has been taking place with my nephew, David. He was told that he had cancer all through him. He came to our church and was prayed over a few weeks ago. In the last few weeks, he has been healed from brain and bladder cancer. There is also some spiritual healing taking place and he is coming to church. Praise the Lord. My prayers go out to all of you for healing.

God is good. ๐Ÿ™‚
