This month has been incredibly random as I’m sure you’ve noticed if you’ve kept up with my blogs. We’ve been with 7 different contacts and moved locations even more. We’ve been to countless “prayer meetings” that have turned into healing services, weddings, baby dedications, buffet dinners, full out church services (that we had to run), etc. We’ve worked in three orphanages (check out how we painted one of them).

We’ve gone on several prayer walks through the dangerous areas here in KL, we’ve worked at a carnival, been taken out to eat by insanely rich people, danced with natives, been taught sessions on demonology by one of the top spiritual warfare speakers in the nation, and sat for hours in city traffic. So while I can’t put my finger on exactly what our goal was this month- I sure feel like we got a good variety. We just once again stretched by God to go out of our comfort zone, realize that life is never what you expected, and rock whatever He gives you. For example, I did learn how to play the drums in one church last week. I practice for a little bit and then played for both church services. I was accompanied by Jennilee on the bongos and Nikki on the cowbell. I don’t think we were all that bad for it being the first time J.
At the same church service, as I was preaching about how God makes us do the uncomfortable to teach us- I used the example that sometimes He asks us to sleep in random people’s beds on the World Race. I would have kept my composure had Nikki and Kelly not died laughing in the front row. That sentence may not have come out exactly as I had worded it in my head lol. But my point is that it is easy to go into things with expectations or desires…but God has asked us to give up our rights and expectations. We will only be let down and disappointed when we look at it from our perspective, but when we realize that our only expectation is that our faithful God will move- He will totally blow our minds with what He has planned. It’s been slightly ridiculous, sometimes annoying, frustrating, but hilarious and has provided so much growth as a team and personally. So as I breathe a sigh of relief in leaving the craziness of Malaysia, I can’t help but thank God for how He has moved this past month and how He is preparing us for month 3 in Thailand.
