I’m ready to go back. Since October 2011, I’ve known Jesus has been calling me to Guatemala. For about a year now he has been calling me to lead a trip of 18-21 year olds during the month of July. We don’t know where we’ll be yet or exactly what we’ll be doing, but I do know the Lord is going to do big things.
So why now??
I am graduating in May with my social work degree, and this is the perfect time to go back into the nations, do what I love, follow the Lord’s calling, and lead this group of awesome young adults before I settle into my career.
I don’t want to be the person who only asks you for money. I want you to be involved in the journey with me! You will be the reason I am able to go, and I want this trip to bless you. I want to connect personally with you and keep you updated on the trip, what God is doing, and allow God to not only show me how big he is, but show you as well. First of all, I am a huge believer in prayer, and I need it. I ask you for prayer far more than any other thing. I will be responsible (along with another leader and with the support of the Adventures in Missions team in Georgia) for at least 17 people and I need all the discernment, wisdom and provision I can get. I would be forever grateful for all the prayers and prayer partners who decide to join me.
With that said, I realistically can’t do this without financial help. This month long trip costs $2,000 for lodging, food, transportation, and airfare to and from Guatemala. I hope and pray you consider helping me in reaching this goal! You would not only be helping me financially, but you would be investing in at least 17 young adult’s lives through me. You would be reaching the beautiful people of Guatemala, and opening a door for the Lord do some awesome work.
