Welcome to my blog spot! My name is Tressa Borchardt and I am officially a World Racer, whoop whoop! Before I get too distracted by how excited I am to begin this journey, let me introduce myself.

I am 23 years old, from Gothenburg, Nebraska and just graduated from Iowa State University in 2013. Throughout my time at ISU, I worked hard to earn two degrees – one in child, adult and family services and the other in psychology – while also having the amazing opportunity to be on the ISU track and field team as a thrower. I was blessed to meet some of the most awesome people from all over the country and world through athletics, classes and my time as a community advisor in a residence hall.

A few fun facts about me: I love reading and often get immersed in a book to the point of being oblivious to hours passing or people talking to me. I enjoy learning about new cultures and languages. I am slightly freaked out by spiders…I may have grossly down-played my true feelings of that last sentence. I am truly terrified of speaking in front of any number of people…so I’m pretty sure some of this fundraising will give me heart palpitations (dear Lord, please help me to be strong and not pass out on any stages. amen ) I love ice cream; it does not matter what kind you have, I will eat it with a smile on my face. I am pumped to start my journey on the World Race!
