After multiple days of bribing him with cookies and disney movies, he finally stopped running away from me every time I tried to steal a hug.

I tell you about my little buddy Isaac because Father God spoke to me multiple times through him. He doesn’t even know it.
Every morning before ministry, our team gets together for milk tea and bible study.
One morning, we were listening to a podcast about the Holy Spirit from Jonathan David Helser. He told us to write on a piece of paper, “Papa, what do you say about me?”
As music played, I closed my eyes and asked Holy Spirit to speak.
Not long after that, here comes Isaac knocking at our door. He ushered me outside to show me his new little toy car. It was an oldplastic bottle with four mangled wheels on it pulled by a string. He was so proud of it and had the biggest smile on his chubby little face.

I went back inside to finish bible study with the girls, but he quickly came back to our door hand motioning me back outside. Of course, I couldn’t say no.
Then Holy Spirit spoke.
“Imagination. I want your mind to imagine like that of a child. I want you to imagine something big out of nothing. I want you to imagine my supernatural, heavenly realm out of the simple natural. Imagine like Isaac. I want to increase your imagination and renew your mind like that of a child.
Just as Isaac is so excited to show you his something out of nothing, I also am excited to show you those things, Trena. How he keeps knocking at your door, ushering you out with a huge smile and such excitement, so am I that excited to reveal my heavenly realm to you. I am knocking at the door of your heart, your mind, your spirit.
Will you let me in? Will you let me in to show you things that you could never dream of with your human mind? Will you just believe and go for it not caring what people think? Will you have the faith of a child? I am so ready to give you more. You don’t have to keep asking because I know you desire more of me. Come and take. Come and take of my sweet fragrance.
Take things that don’t make sense to our natural eye and call forth the truth of what it is until it reaches it’s true identity. Until it reaches what I have said in my Word it is to be. Isaac is carrying around a toy car made of a bottle with wheels that don’t even work. It moves only because he pulls it by a string. It doesn’t work like a car or look like one really, but he sees it as a car regardless and uses it for what it is. What it was made to be.
That’s what I do with my children, Beloved. I use the ones that to the world don’t look worthy of being used. I use the ones that by themselves don’t work right. I take them, mold them, blow my breath of life into them and sit back as a delighted dad watching them work. Just like Isaac sits back and enjoys his homemade car, he is proud of it and wants to show it off. That’s how I am with my children. When you fully submit to me and allow me to mold you into your true identity as my daughter, I love to sit back and admire who I have made you to be.”
Your Papa
Since that time Isaac and I have had many more fun memories. A week ago I was washing my skirts and he came over to help me. His dad said he had never washed clothes before. Another day I was washing one of my shirts, so Isaac decided to take his off to wash it too.

But my favorite happened a few days ago. I decided to wash my hair outside under the facet. As soon as I put shampoo in my hair I see Isaac stick his little head under the freezing cold water, get it wet, and stick his hand out for shampoo. I doubt this 4 year old boy likes to wash clothes or wash his hair (he only takes a shower about once a week if that). But he wanted to do what I was doing.
It reminds me of when Jesus said He only did what He saw the Father doing.
Isaac didn’t question me. He didn’t ask me, “Didi (big sister in Nepali) why do I need to wash my hair? It’s not dirty.” Isaac didn’t complain. “Didi, I don’t want to wash my clothes today.”
He just did what he saw me doing, because he wanted to.
I need to learn from Isaac.
I want to do what I see my Father doing without question or doubt. I want to trust that when I step out and follow Him that He will show up to help, just like He helped Isaac wash his hair and his clothes.

I love that little punk and I will miss him big time!
