What do I hope to get out of this amazing adventure? What am I seeking the Lord for? Well…
Everything about this trip is out of my comfort zone, but that’s what makes it so exciting! Everything from the application process to fundraising to actually being on the field will be a testimony to the faithfulness of God. I have never packed up a backpack, tent, sleeping bag, and clothes for a week to leave for 11 months around the world! It will be an adventure for sure! I don’t expect it to be easy. However, I do know that Jesus hold my hand the entire way. I am praying that everyday the Lord’s voice will become clearer and clearer. I am believing I will see miracles!
Recently, I have been blessed to be a part of a group of prayer warriors. In this group, God has taught me so much about prayer and about His character. Hebrew 13:8 has never been more real to me, which says, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” Jesus healed all diseases when He walked on earth. The blind, the mute, the deaf, and the paralyzed were all healed. Jesus healed then. Jesus heals now! “When Jesus called the Twelve together, he gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases, and he sent them out to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick,” Luke 9:1-2. That is what I am believing our big God for. I am believing I will see someone paralyzed get up and walk in the name of Jesus! Then I will come home, and see a paralyzed person I have been praying for get up and walk in Jesus’ Holy name!
