On July 3rd 2012 at 6am I woke up knowing this day would be marked in my life for the rest of it. I said goodbye to my best friend, and road with my parents to the airport. As confident as I was, I felt very sick on my way there. It could have been because I didn't completely finish packing till that morning.

Launch was awesome. Basically we just stayed at a hotel in Washington DC for a few days to meet with everybody, get re-accustom to the world race lifestyle, and get more details about how things were going to work while we’re gone. Awesome worship every night, and lots of stories and advice from the crazy people that put this thing together. During this time the whole squad had a 48 hour “screen fast” with no computers, ipods, tv, ect… This helped us to all focus on each other and what we’re doing. Spending July 4th in Washington DC was an great bonus to launch, and a great way to spend our last day in the US. The fireworks were awesome, and of course I have to get my last cookie dough blizzard for the year.

On our travel day (days) to Ireland we all got plenty of time to sit back and gather our thoughts and just sit. I’ve been told travel days are days are hard, but I think they’re something I’m going to be looking forward to.

Northern Ireland is beautiful. I truly believe each one of us was brought here for a reason. I did not expect this month to be like this, I feel like the church here has done so much more for us than we could for them. The first morning we went to the church, they had the children pray over anyone that needed it, and it was an awesome thing to see. Just this last week we went out the middle of the city and did healings on the street. Something you read about Jesus doing throughout the Bible, but so many people forget we were given this authority/command. (Matthew 10:8) During this time I got to pray for an Irish arm wrestling champion, and probably one of the biggest guys I’ve ever seen. He was having problems in his marriage, and by the time we were done praying for him, tears were streaming down his face, but he said that he felt a peace, and that he would be at church the next day. This probably meant more to me than the multiple healings I’ve witnessed recently. God has a funny way of showing me things.

I feel like God has done in me this first week what I thought He would do over the 11 months. So now with my apparently small expectations already met, I have no idea what the rest of this year will bring. Keep it coming, Lord…
