DOES ANYBODY KNOW
YOUR A CHRISTIAN?!?
Now before I get deep into this blog I want to start off by saying this call out is not to the lost. This call out is to those who declare they are a believer of Christ. This has been truly heavy on my heart really for the past year or so, but it really hit me after training camp. So please take heart of what you are about to read and do not feel as im judging, but rather I am just trying to help guide my brothers and sisters. Thank you!
Frist thing I want to bring up is how we use our time. This is a really hot topic right now really for those who like playing video games since three new games just came out, but this could be related to anything. I will be the first to admit I used to be really bad at this. I was a Halo and Call of Duty nerd to the max, but I sold my xbox 360 in September! So know this is something I have had to overcome in my life as well. I have nothing against having fun and doing things that entertain you, but when you sit in front of a T.V. screen more than you do spending time in the Word … we have a problem. When you spend each week waiting for the weekend …instead of thanking Him for the day you are living at the moment… we have a problem. America… Its not just India or all those foreign countries that worship idols. We do just the same… just a little differently. We worship famous people….music….games….sports….anything that is obsessive in your life is an idol. Nothing should be more important in your life than Christ. It hurts me to see all these brothers and sisters I have who say they are on fire for God, but yet all they do is play games all day… or worry about their next big thing…. or worry about their relationship status! If you are a believer of Christ and that fire really is burning inside of you… it would show… You would spend HOURS with your ABBA instead of spending HOURS playing Call of Duty MW3!!
Next is our actions. Are you so selfish that you will not let Him work through you? This is going to be mainly to the men.. for I can speak for the men. I just want to first simply say… the women of God on E squad are AMAZING!!! You all need to go read up on their blogs and follow them as well! It was such and honor to get to know them, but it simply broke me to hear some of the things they told me… as in…. " I have never seen a man of God like you"…."You know God picked us cause we are all different and we stand out, but then there is people like you… who stand out in a room of unique people"…. Although those are very amazingly encouraging words… shouldn't we all be that way? Do the actions you do… and the words you speak reflect God? It breaks me down to see people I sit with in church or people I know that go to different churches, and to see them treat women the way they do.. or treat a man the way they do. I am so tired of people being so disrespectful to one another! One thing I always tell people is.. you can disrespect me all you want, but there is people around us looking at you, and out of those people looking at you could be a lost person and you could be the last representation of Christ they have… And they saw you treat me the way you did and they know you say your a Christian and they just lost all respect for Christ cause of the way you just treated me. It is ridiculous! WE HAVE TO CHANGE!
I see to many people declare they are Christian, but by the way they act and speak noone could tell the difference! THAT IS SO SELFISH! We are ALL made to save the lost, but you cannot save the lost when you spend to many hours worshipping idols.. playing games in front of a screen.. wasting your life away! STOP BEING SELFISH! If you declared you are a believer of Christ then that burning fire inside you should explode in your life! I am praying for you! I am praying that fire never dies down! I pray that if you say you believe in Him that you have the strength to stand out! I pray that you make a difference in this world for His glory! Someone at training camp told me if they had to picture someone in their life to be Jesus it would be me. Now I am NO WHERE near Him, but I do pray that you can be the Jesus in your community for we are His spit image! So act like it! Speak like it! Worship like it! Give up those idols! Give your time to Him! Stop being a half Christian! For your either all in or not at all! So have that relationship with your Abba! He wants to know you more! My God is a happy loving Pappa! He is dancing and singing as I type this! So my brothers and sisters! BE THE CHANGE! BE DIFFERENT! STAY WEIRD! SAVE THE LOST!!!!!!
