Cambodia has 80 percent of the population under the age of 30. The median age of the population is 22.1 years old according to a 2009 estimate in the World Factbook. This means that the majority of the population are younger than me and my teammates.

How does a society recover from losing the wisdom of the prior generations? Since almost everyone who was educated was killed in the Khmer Rouge regime or was involved in the 13 year civil war, the majority of the population is desperate. They need to believe that there is hope for them and their country. They need to believe in something bigger than themselves. They need the love of Jesus to change their country and give them hope!
