On Ometepe Island, we went to visit some church members to pray for them. How do you get there you ask? You walk by the lake, under a barbed wire fence while swatting the bugs, through the fields. Then you go under another barbed wire fence, through some more fields avoiding the horses and cattle, through some trees, under another barbed wire fence, through a river, and under the barbed wire fence. Who is important enough for us to go through all this trouble? You are!! Jesus would travel to the ends of the earth for you! It is humbling to think that the creator of the universe would go through all this trouble for us.
When we had our goodbye service with our host family, they ended up inviting about 20 other people from the community to join us. We shed tears and felt the love of God from all that were there. We were humbled that we had such an impact when we felt like we were the ones being blessed by being in there presence.
