I was terrified to be in this team. Living with a team of all girls is uncomfortable. It scares me to be talked bad about and disliked and ganged up on. These things have happened in every group of girls I have been a part of. Except Team Triumph.
So thank you to my team. My girls. You have shown me grace and forgiveness countless times. You have accepted me for who I am, and I don’t have to pretend to be somebody else. You have encouraged me over and over, and cared when I thought nobody would.
Thank you for being vulnerable. Thank you for being honest and transparent. Transparency is harder than vulnerability. Thank you for your wisdom and for intentionally seeking me out when things are good and when things are hard. Thank you for being adventurous with me. Thank you for pushing me in my faith and for teaching me things about Jesus that I didn’t know.
Team Triumph. You make me laugh until I have tears! Our dance parties and dinners make me feel so lucky I was chosen for this team. Thank you for the joy you bring me. Thank you for making sure I have some pictures, and for being patient when I am picky. Thank you for accepting my sass and giving me the same, if not more, attitude.
Thank you, Triumph, for changing me.
