Wanted to share a few of my favorite passages and some new ones God has made known to me. His word is so important. It is the foundation of our faith. What keeps us going.
How we know he loves us.
What we sing about.
I want more of you God.
I hope you find these encouraging as they did encourage me.
“…My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
– 2 Corinthians 12:9
For when we are weak, then we are made strong.
But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions – it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.
– Ephesians 2:4-7
Oh, how he loves.
No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.
– 1 Corinthians 12:13
He knows you. Stand firm, he will provide a way out.
“…Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times? Jesus answered, “I tell you not seven times, but seventy-seven times.”
– Matthew 18: 21-22
Forgive others, as Christ forgave you.
You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.
– 1 John 4:4
God can overcome anything. He is thee almighty.
Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at hi face in the mirror, and, and after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, nut doing it – he will be blessed in what does.
– James 1:23-26
Live out our Faith
Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it.
– Joshua 1:8
And you will be successful
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayers and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the pace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
– Philippians 4:4-7
Take everything to God in prayer
