I love the Dominican Republic, I can already see myself coming back.
Our squad is in our last week of ministry.
A week from today we’ll be crossing the border to Haiti and Haiti is going to be, a lot different.
Today, our team went to the market in town to speak with some local and Haitian families who come across the border to sell food, clothes, house and beauty products, shoes; basically anything you might need. Remind you, these markets are pure chaos. Small aisle ways; an occasional motor bike that happens to fit and people going every which direction with stuff everywhere. Welcome to market days. Our mission today was children.

We prayed before we went into the market. This was the second time since I’ve been in the Dominican that I’ve felt the Lord’s presence so heavy. Tears flowed down my cheek. I wanted to hug every person in sight and tell them about what the Lord has done in my life and what he can do for them. I wanted to shout it from the roof tops.
I now know what the disciples felt like in bible times. An hour from when we began, we had a crowd of people standing around us asking for prayers. We touched them and would pray blessings over their family, any specific requests, sales in the market and that Jesus would touch them and that they might know him. People left with smiles, hugs and hand shakes. The people here are fantastic.

I saw these flowers at a church we visited at the top of a mountain outside of Comendador and they made me think of Jesus. They were colorful and tropical with vines connecting the stems and intertwining the rafters of the building. As we fully give our lives to God, he works in our hearts and gets rid of the bad and improves so many characteristics and releases new ones that he designed in us.
John 15:5 I am the vine, you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit.
He is constantly making my flower brighter, colorful and beautiful like the flowers I saw in the church this month as I keep trusting and giving everything over to him.

The team
P.S. It’s the little things that make the day so great besides telling people about Jesus.
We started the day off with oatmeal; which had raisons, brown sugar and honey with a side of scrambled eggs.
We went for a cookie run.
And one of our squad leaders who is a beautiful woman of God arrived today that will be staying with until Thursday.
AND they have lightening bugs.
Thank you everyone for your support and those who are keeping up with me! lots of love.
