Hi Friends,
My name is Tony Griskowitz, or Anthony Griskowitz for short, and I was born and raised in Prescott, Arizona. So the whole deal with this “About” tab is to tell you guys a bit more about myself. Hence the “About” portion of it. I just recently discovered my interest for this mission trip by talking to my good friend who is going on the trip just a different route. And at first when I heard about it I thought no way Jose that I would ever do something like that. A couple weeks pass along with some prayer and here I am, doing something like that. I have always felt that life is much bigger than people make it out to be with the standard, get an education, get a job, start a family. I feel as if I do not venture out now and serve while I am still young and available, I will never get around to doing this.
I enjoy the outdoors as much as I enjoy the indoors. While always being down to go out and take in the sun, I find plenty of enjoyment in with staying inside and playing video games until I drop. (Not really) (But really) I have only been on one mission trip prior to this one and it was a week long one with my church in Mexico and would go on that trip again in a heartbeat. Provided that heart beat has good grades at the moment and is financially stable.
I have always been in a Christian household with God influencing me with my decisions, usually, but it was not until last summer I had finally gotten baptized. I believe I waited so long was because I really, really wanted to make sure that I knew what I was committing to and was positive I knew what I was doing. Oddly enough as soon as I was baptized, things went downhill in my life and I am 100% sure it was God testing my faith and giving me a little bit of a reality check kind of saying “Hey life is not perfect so get used to it but I am there for you.” Since then, life has been looking up especially with this trip to look forward to and I am only getting more and more excited as the days go by.
I hope that little gig was brief enough to give you guys at least an idea of who you’re dumping your life savings into and interesting enough to keep me in your thoughts and prayers as I take these next big steps into going on this mission. Thank you all and I wish you all well!
