My teammate Shannon has been sick this month.  She has been in a hospital the last week or so in Slatina, a city in Romania. It is considered one of the ‘better’ hospitals here in the rural southern part of the country.

It had no medicine. Reminds me of a gas station with no gas.
Doctors must be bribed to get any attention.
It was filthy.
It was sad.

We traveled to Bucharest to get her proper attention. We were shoed away from multiple hospitals. Shan, weak in her physical body has relied on God more than ever, because she doesn’t have much hope from what the world can offer her at the moment. It is encouraging to see her growth in faith.

America’s health care may have its problems, but it is amazing that we have an opportunity to get well when we are sick. I am so thankful to live in a country that has amazing, clean hospitals with competent doctors.

Please pray for Shan’s for her health.

Also, my teammate Alicia need to raise just over a grand VERY soon to stay with us on this mission trip. Please pray that God will provide for her. We know that He will.
