Welcome to Moldova, our last country for the World Race for our squad.
We arrived in the capital city on Wedesday last week and spent a few days on break before we headed out to our village, Rassvet.
Our team is living in a house owned by the church that we are serving this month. It is pretty rustic. We received our old and moldy refrigerator the day we showed up. Our toliet and shower areas remind me much of Africa. Funny, I thought we would be ending the race more like the rest of Europe, on the nicer side. However, I am very excited to be here. It is like easy camping. We have a roof over our head and get to cook for ourselves. It feels like my team is a family that just got a fixer upper.
burning our trash. Toilet paper and all.
Our laguage skills are being challeged this month as many people do not know English. Our translater is from the Orthodox church and we are happy to be working with her. Please pray that we are a loving example to the village people and many others that we will come in contact with this month.
Cherries are very much in season here, yea!
blessings,
