23 years ago on February 18th, 1992 my journey began! I was the second of three children born to my parents, Wilson and Linda, in Toledo, OH. I’ve lived in Toledo my whole life and it truly is home for me. At a young age it became apparent that I was going to be a very active kid as I was constantly “bouncing off the walls” as my parents would say. This hyperactivity is what led to my outgoing personality and my love for public speaking. In second grade I started writing speeches for the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Oratorical contest and began to feel God pulling at my heart to use my gift for public speaking for his Glory. While I was hesitant at first, God eventually eased my fears and has given me countless opportunities to share his word with people all over the world. From Spirit Lake, North Dakota to Tanzania, Africa, God has placed me in countless places I never thought I would go and all for his name and his glory! On any given day you can find me at the basketball court or off at work driving forklifts at a local company here in northwest Ohio. I love to stay active and am willing to play any and all types of sports, even if it’s not my cup of tea. I am involved with my local Youth Group and Bible Quizzing teams at my local church and my heart is for the youth in my community which is why I plan to pursue a career in Youth ministry, whether here at home or overseas. Wherever God takes me, that’s where you’ll find me. I spent too many years telling him no. It’s time I shut up and followed, starting with the World Race!
