“Welcome Home”
I’m going to be “Home” soon, I’m in my final month, month 11. So this month I’m finishing up books, processing what I have seen, tasted, heard, felt, desired, learned, grown through, accepted and loved over this past year.
This past year has been a journey of service, as well as a time of growth and learning to live a healthy life, so that I can love others well where ever I am.
After this trip my Heart lives in many places, with many of the people I have met along the way, some more than others. Some that I pray for daily and others I remember when skimming my journals and facebook. But God whispers to me that I really have only one home, and that is with Him. I will never be content on this earth. My heart was created with a desire for a home, a nest, a sanctuary, and that can be found only with Him in Heaven.
So with this knowledge, I will love those around me where ever home may be after this trip, whether at an orphanage in Nepal , teaching in a school in Brevard county or going back to university.
A lesson that I knew before the race… Love God and love your neighbors, but now I walk away from this trip with the understanding of how to better love my neighbors, all around the world. Where ever God has me.
