“So what you’re saying is that I have to dig my own hole to
go to the bathroom? And it’s just out in the open where everyone can see me?
Ahh great.” This is a small portion of what my month is going to look like here
in India. But I think it will be worth it….
What if someone shared their vision with you of planting
churches in every village in the state of Andrah Pradesh, India? And then they
said “We want you to go live in a village and start a church from the ground
up…”This month, my team and I are doing exactly that. We are partnered with
ICM (Indian Christian Ministries) in the city of Ongole, India. And tomorrow
morning we are heading out to live in a rural village with very limited living
conditions to build a church. These people do not have a Christian church in
their vicinity and some have not yet surrendered their lives to Christ. We have
an amazing opportunity to organize and lead everything involved in building a
church from the ground up. We are responsible for running church services, leading
bible studies, and evangelizing to 200 homes. We’re going to be living in our
tents and are giving up electricity, running water, and stocking up on supplies
for the month.
Once we have a fervent group of believers we will need funds
to help in construction. In total, the cost of constructing the church is
