National Prayer Walk
95%-the percentage of people in Thailand who are Buddhist
11/14/10-the day where Christians came from all over
Thailand to pray and walk around the city of Bangkok. This Prayer Walk happens once a year and I
happened to find myself in the midst of it with a myriad of other people from
all around the world. It was one of those “am I really here” moments. A year
ago I would never have imagined that I would be in a group of thousands of
people marching around Bangkok, praying, singing, and carrying flags. God
showed me that day how powerful prayer really is…that even in a nation of so
few believers, God is alive and moving. Prayer plants seeds. It’s sometimes
difficult to feel useful in countries that seem so closed off to God. But, then
I remember that God promises that he hears our prayers and prayer can move
hearts in ways that man cannot.

me a lot on the race so far. I pray that as you read this, God touches your
heart and reinforces you to lean on Him in times of helplessness. That you read
truth and that it becomes embedded in your thoughts.
“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
I have summoned you by name; you are mine.
2 When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze.”
