My World Race journey has been an incredible experience so far. Its something that is hard to put into words. You can really only understand it if you experience it for yourself.
Adventures in Missions has opened the door for our parents to visit for a week. They call it the Parent Vision Trip. I immediately invited my parents to come because I think that this would be a great opportunity to really see the way this journey has changed my life and how it could change their's too. Unfortunately because of my dad's hip, he is unable to make the long flight but my mom is available to come!!
She is really excited about this opportunity. She wrote:
"I am excited to be able to go to Kenya to join my daughter as she is on the World Race. It will be wonderful to experience some of the things she has experienced over the past several months as she has traveled from country to country sharing the love of Christ to others. It's my prayer that this experience will help my relationship with God grow deeper and others will see Jesus through me wherever I go."
I think this trip could do even more for my mom. The discipleship learning and training she will get during that week will break her and re-mold her into a new creation.
I don't know what to expect during that week. We will reunite in Kenya after I have already served there for a few weeks. The World Race has a specific ministry that we will work with together as mother and daughter. I don't know what that looks like, but I do know that it can only form bonds even greater than the ones already there between my mother and I.

I need your help in getting my mom there. My parents are still in the middle of moving across the state and trying to sell their house in Fredericksburg and begin building their new house back in Danville. The cost of this trip is only $500, but that does not include airfare. We need at least $2000 to get my mom to Kenya. That covers her airfare, lodging, food, and supplies for the week she is here.
If anyone has frequent flyer miles, please consider helping us out!
