HELP
Need funding to prevent amputation!!
Teammate:
According to Merriam-Webster a teammate is "a member of a team".
But I think Webster is wrong. A teammate is FAR MORE than that.
My teammates have been my coworkers, my roommates, my travel companions, my friends, my seven person marriage partners, my brothers and my sisters. They mean so much to me because they are a part of me.
In 1 Corinthians it talks about how the church is a body with many different parts. Different parts serve different roles.
"Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ…But God has put the body together, giving greater honor to the parts that lacked it, so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it."
The final fundraising deadline is approaching and all praise to Jesus, I am fully funded!! But my team is at risk of loosing a hand, a foot, an eye, and an ear! I have four teammates who are all in desperate need of funding help. If they do not meet the deadline, they are at risk of being sent home, unable to finish the race.
Read a little about each of my teammates and consider helping one of them out.
THE MARRIED'S

It wasn't until a few weeks ago, that I realized just how much I have learned from Josh and Jen. They have given our team a great glimpse into true marriage. They have let us see the good and the bad. They unmasked marriage and showed our team, especially the girls, that even when you have a marital partner in life, your first love still needs to be the Lord.
Josh (Joshhhh)
Josh is a funny guy who loves a good nerdy joke and an intense theological conversation. He brings a breadth of knowledge to the team and is our go to theologian. He is always sneaking around serving us in little ways, like roach killing, mosquito net assembly, and errand running. He is also a protector making sure that not only Jen, but also all of the girls, are cared for and protected. If it weren't for Josh, we'd have a less tangible glimpse of our loving, protective Heavenly Father.
Jen (Jendenhall or Phoebe from Friends)
Jen brings a love for cats, household cleaning and contagious laughter outburst to our team. She is gentle and tender; able to assess and respond to the feelings of those around her making them feel cherished and valued. She is our resident storyteller, never forgetting the small details. Jen is such a good listener and will remember details of past stories you have shared and will ask questions about how those intertwine with the latest story. Jen brings wisdom, comfort, and nurture to our team and to everyone we meet. Without Jen, we'd have less of a picture of the love of God.
Even though they are married, the cost of the Race is still the same for Josh and Jen per person, because well, although they could fit into one seat on an airplane, federal aviation laws don't allow that.
They are in need of $11,856

ANGELA

Angela (Harriet the Spy or Matilda)
Angela brings a love for ice cream, a good bargain and directness to our team. Angela calls people out of mediocrity and into greatness and while she might make you cry, you know it's in love and for your good. She will drink a coke off the side of the road and walk miles for good ice cream, but never cake or brownies ;). Every time we land in a new country she digs in, real deep. While everyone is still recovering from traveling, she is already out meeting our neighbors and memorizing their names. Her unconditional love for children is unsurpassed and spurs on the rest of us. She teaches and loves without having to use her words. If Angela weren’t here, we would know less about the tough, yet unconditional and relentless love of God.

ANDREW

Andrew (Honest Abe)
Andrew is the BFG (big friendly giant). He brings a love for soda, bets, and vulnerability. Joining the old team Alethia, making it the new team: Living Water, Andrew brings a fresh newness to the team. From our first team time as a new team, I knew he was the perfect addition to the team. Andrew lives intentionally by asking us out on 'dates' so he can get to know us more and has an uncontrollable, joyful laughter. He, as his nickname states, is honest with himself, with us, and everyone we interact with, which encourages everyone else to do the same. If Andrew was missing, we may not have understood how intentionally Jesus seeks us out.

Living Water wants to be the hands that hold, the feet that walk, the eyes that see, and the ears that listen. Please keep this body together so we can continue to reach the nations!
So you, prayer warriors, we need your help! Please pray that the Lord would lavish His blessing and continue to fill up my teammates support accounts until completion. Pray that hearts would be moved in the states and abroad. Pray that above all, the Lord's will be done.
We also need financial partners to make the rest of this race possible. Half of my team still needs funding, totaling nearly $20,000. But we are all still believing because we serve a God who provides! Will you continue to partner with us by keeping our body together and sending us out into the nations?
