Things I have learned this month:
- God wants to use me to further His Kingdom.
- Teaching English is very difficult when you don’t know the native language very well.

- The market is really cool and you can barter prices.
- My heart cries out for neglected children and adults.
- My feet can get really dirty.

- Guatemalan food is not very different from food I eat in America (fried chicken EVERYWHERE).
- God wants us to seek Him before all things.
- Sometimes people just need to talk.
- Squatty potties are not that hard to use and it strengthens your leg muscles.
- Painting is therapeutic.

- God is a mechanic. <– read this blog by Brittany.

- Opening up about your past can be good even though you have already healed from it.
- Don’t flush the TP.
- You can fall up a mountain as well as falling down a mountain. <– read this blog by Jen.

- There are places where people still offer sacrifices to Mayan gods.
- I like café espresso ice cream. A lot.
- Volcanoes are gorgeous.
- God speaks to me in very intimate ways.
- Guatemalans like owls, too.
- God’s timing is perfect and I shouldn’t want it any other way.
- Goodbyes are difficult, especially when children love you loving them.

- I want to do ministry for the rest of my life.
