Who am I?

This is a question I’ve asked myself many times!

I am a daughter. I have two of the best parents a girl could ever ask for. They are very protective of me(so protective that my dad still isn’t on board with the race yet!) and love me very much. My parents work hard and help others a lot and are very involved in our church.

A sister. I have one brother. He is 25 and married. We are close and “get” each other even though we are very different.

A friend. I have some of the greatest friends and support group ever. We have moved and I left to go to college, so many of my friends are widespread but I feel very blessed.

I am a significant other. I have had the same boyfriend for six years now. This year will be a challenge to say the least.

I am a diabetic. Type 1 to be exact. I go back and forth between wearing an insulin pump and taking shots about as much as most women change purses 😉

I will be 30 this year. Ugh.

I am a singer. This ranges from me singing with my dad in church on Sundays to the occasional karaoke night(although not as frequently as I’d like). I have no guitar skills(but I would love to learn) and very basic piano skills.

I like to run.(or pretend I can run) I actually do more of a walk/jog/ breathe hard then quit and go eat ice cream.

I am a slob. As in, I am super messy and I TRY so hard to be organized but things just go right back to how they were! It’s not my fault! 🙂

I can speak Spanish. Conversational Spanish. I have lost some of my skills since college, but I’m going to LEARN and PRACTICE before the race. Most def.

I am a dietitian. I work for the Women, Infants and Children program(otherwise known as WIC) teaching lower income families how to eat healthy and encouraging pregnant women to breastfeed.

I am a Montevallo alum. The University of Montevallo, where I attended what seems like AGES ago, is one of the best places on earth and where I have many of my fondest memories.  They are a liberal arts college, and most likely at least partially to blame for my hippy-ish travel loving ways.

LASTLY, but most importantly, I am a child of God. God has been there for me even though I have let Him down many times, even though I am far from perfect.  He hears my prayers, knows my heart, has looked out for me, and blesses me richly.
