I left Atlanta Sunday afternoon after having a great morning worship
service at church with family and friends and going to eat at Pacific Spice
with those very same friends and family. I have now been in Chicago for
the past few days staying at Danny Weiss' house. There is one thing I can
tell you for sure, the deep dish pizza is no joke. That stuff is amazing! I
first stayed at Danny's house and now I am at the hotel.

Danny is a recent friend that I would not know if it wasn't for the Race.
I met him just before training camp and there was instant connection on a
bromance level. We hit it off and to top it off we got put on the same
team! He is a great fellow and is following God in word and deed. If you
want to know more about him you can check out his blog here:
dannyweiss.theworldrace.org.

And now I am at the hotel reunited with all the other team leaders,
treasurers and logistics people from K-Squad. We all immediately embraced
and began interacting as though we were all old comrades. The evening
then went into musical worship and encouraging talk followed by down time.
This is going to be incredible and I can not wait for tomorrow when the
rest of the squad and my team arrive!

Below are pictures of my sisters, mom and dad saying goodbye for the first
time at the airport. The second is soon to come 🙂
