It was our 2nd wedding anniversary yesterday. I knew Tom was planning something but I never could have imagined what he had in store. I thought maybe we will go somewhere for the night, or go have a meal somewhere, but that wasn’t it. Yesterday the whole church came together as Tom and I renewed our vows in KENYA! We had bridesmaids, Britt and Ann Marie who were wearing traditional Kenyan garb; flower girls(some of the little girls from the church) , escorts, groomsmen, Garrett, Jeffery, Joel the whole nine yards. It was amazing! They decorated the church and I had a traditional Kenyan wedding dress:) They do things right here, it was a celebration of dancing and praising the Lord. I could feel God in our midst. We also fed the wedding party cake, that was fun! I fed them all like children waiting for the airplane to land in their mouths, ha ha( It was wonderful, they are still talking about it) Crazy American who feeds with such enthusim. Pastor Nicholas led us in the renewal of our vows. I cried again, it’s just mind blowing to me that I have been married to Tom for 2 years and I am more in love with him than I could have ever imagined. It’s a privaledge to be able to travel the world for a year with him as we grow into the couple God has called us to be and to share the love of Christ everywhere we go. I am blessed to be with my best friend for 11 months, everyday! Our 2nd anniversary will always be one that we will never forget!
