Merry Christmas from Team United to you! Christmas was a little different this year. We began cooking days before for the 90+ people that would be at our Christmas celebrations (R Squad, 2 YWAM teams, friends we’ve made in Thailand, our contacts, friends of friends…) We had a Christmas BBQ, which was amazing even though we felt like we were celebrating 4th of July more than we were celebrating Christmas. We walked up the street to the dam/park area where we had a cookout, some worship and some games. Some people jumped in the dam to go for a swim which just makes me laugh. It was hot on Christmas so we jumped in the water?!! when you’re from New York and used to lots of snow every year, being hot and sweaty on Christmas is a wonderful change. Laying under a palm tree talking with some friends watching the sun set over the water and hills; hearing Chris preach on Christmas; worship under the sun; funny pictures; team time; being with the entire squad; love. things that made this Christmas special.
