Why do you want to do the World Race? That was a question I was asked many times before I left for the World Race back in September. It’s been 3 months since I’ve launched on the world race and I’ve been thinking about that question again recently. So, why do I want to do the World Race? I want to expereince more of God I want to expereince more of his love I want to see his promises to me, to us, come true To live for something bigger than myself to worship with people all over the world to bring light to the darkness because I may be the only Jesus that they ever see because once you enounter God’s love, how could you not go and tell everyone to live with people who are passionate about God, passionate about bringing God’s Kingdom of love and hope to earth, and passionate about shapping me into the person God made me to be because I know there’s more to life than being content to walk in the truth that only God’s opinion of me matters, and that worrying about what others think about my life, about what job I do and don’t have, about anything like that… is just nonsense to experience just how BIG our God is because this is just a catalyst of even bigger things to come Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews12:1-2 why do you run your race?
