So many amazing things have happened In Tomba De Mora and in Los Jardines. Words will not fully describe how faithful and soveriegn our God truly has been here. From the moment we arrived the Spirit was at work…
The first day out in Tomba De Mora we witnessed the death of a lady that had been suffering for a long time. A team had gone to pray for a baby and Daisy (the lady’s sister) came running “please pray for my sister, she is very ill.” When the team got to her house, they surrounded her and began to pray. As Bob put his hand on her face to lift her head, he realized she was gone. The family immediately went into hysterics, Daisy fainted and others cried out in pain. This was the beginning of ministry to this family. The team has been able to minister to the family through the funneral services, dinners, wake and individual prayer and bible study. One conversation with Daisy led me to share that I have 3 sisters and though we are often apart in miles we are always close in heart and spirit. I can’t imagine how I would react in receiving the same news. She explained that everyday she misses her sister more. I explained that in a relationship with God she would be guaranteed to see her sister again.
She replied by telling me that she didn’t know how to pray. I explained it was just a conversation with our best friend.
The next day, Matt S., Robby, Nate and Kelton visited Daisy. While praying with her, the Lord revealed to Robby that she was being oppressed by a demon of grief and sorrow. As the quartet of warriors began to speak over her the Lord led them to call out the demon and set her free.
Later that evening when the guys shared with the rest of the team what they had been witness to the Spirit fell over our camp and the Lord made Himself know to many of our team. Team members were released of spiritual doubt and strongholds. A very powerrful evening of Worship and witness.
“….and He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6
