Since Teagan lost her passport and other valuable documents, camera and Ipod and My tent did not ever arrive we were given the opportunity to go into Lima and take care of personal business.
Today while Teagan visited the Embassy I went shopping for a new tent.
Before noon Teagan had filed a police report ordered a new passport, spoken with her parents, ordered new bank cards and drivers liscense. I purchased a 2 person tent for the unbelievable price of $16 US dollars
We are staying with Becky Cooley, she and her husband are staff members of AIM in Peru.Bob is in Chincha with the rest of our group. Becky has welcomed us and made us feel at home.
It’s been good to talk with her. She has three daughters and a grandaughter, yet only one daughter lives here in Lima; so she understands the separation of mom and daughters issue.

Teagan and I took a walk, the local neighborhoods all seem to have green areas or parks… I just can’t get over the flowers and colors in January. Although there are traces of Christmas if you look for them.

Becky had a group of ladies over this evening to practice their conversational english, Teagan and I were invited to join them, it was soooo much fun. the four of them each introduced themselves in English and we each shared about how we celebrated Christmas and new Year. We exchanged email and I plan to keep in touch…….I guess the flowers aren’t the only things blooming in Peru
