It was the end of my last semester as a student at James River Leadership College and I was locked away in my apartment studying for finals (getting distracted online). I had been stressing about each day that would go by getting closer to the end of the semester. Most students are thrilled that school is coming to the end, but I on the other hand had no idea where my life was going after JRLC. As I scrolled through my news feed I came across a post by one of my friends of a video a racer had just uploaded. Once the video had come to a close I was blown away, I continued to read for hours about all these amazing adventures people where having spreading the gospel across the globe.

I have felt called to missions since I can remember as a kid I would tell my parents that when I grew up all I wanted to do was move to Africa and love on babies. Well since then my burden for lost people has only grown to unquenchable desire to spread the good news of Jesus Christ.

So as I sat there, palms sweating, heart racing and head spinning I felt a pull on my heart for the World Race. This is insane was all that I could think of and I tried to talk myself out of it for weeks. Its too much money, I am not qualified, and there is no way my parents will support me in this. I prayed, I cried, and I talk to those closest to me. It still seemed as though everything was pointing in the direction of the World Race. I continued to pray and decided that if this is what God truly wants me to do He would make a way.

I prayed and then I prayed some more and on the week of graduation I sat across the table with my mom and told her about my desires for the world race. I was expecting the worst, but amazingly God came through beyond my expectations. With tears in her eyes my amazing mother looked at me with love and told me that she believed this was something I needed to do and if I don't I would be making a huge mistake.

I can hardly believe that it is really happening and God never ceases to amaze me. If it wasn't for my mom listening to God and being my biggest supporter I'm not really sure what I would have done. But thankfully she is one of the most amazing Godly women I have ever met.
My Mom Patti is one of my best friends and biggest supporters

God is so good and I am so excited to spend my time showing his love to all people.

And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation."
