On February 28, I will be heading back to a place that
captured my heart one year ago.  I
will be going on a 5 day mission trip to Canaan orphanage in Montrouis, Haiti.
I could not be more excited to go back to a place that has so much need for
Christ. We will be spending 5 days playing with the kids and working in the
medical clinic.

If you remember back to 1 year ago, you will recall that I
fell in love with a little girl named Claudia. She crawled up on my lap one
night and fell asleep with her head pressed against my chest. It was the single
most precious thing that has ever happened to me. I have never felt more at
peace than that moment.

I have been learning here at Project Searchlight that
sometimes we need to find someone who believes in the dreams God has given us
and start something.  This rang so
many bells in my head. So often I think I have to have every single thing
figured out in order to take the first step. I think I have to have the right
plan and that if I fail it will be the end of the world. I allow what others
will think if I fail determine the steps I take. The only person I need to be
worried about is God being mad at me for not doing what He is telling me to do.

Sometimes I just need to step out and have faith that God is
going to provide what is necessary for His dream to come true. Someone told me
today, “If it is God’s will then its on God’s bill.”  I can’t be worried about finances or plans, sometimes I just
need to step out and believe.

I need to raise about $600 for this 5 day trip to Haiti. I
have stepped out on Faith that God has that money for me to go and have
committed to the trip. If you would like to support me on this adventure back
to Haiti please email me: [email protected]

God has given me a dream for the orphans in Haiti and this
is the first trip of many back there. I believe that God is calling me there
full-time sometime in the very near future. I am excited to experience a
different Haiti than that of a year ago and would love for you to partner with
me. All donations are tax-deductible. Email me for information!

I will be blogging more about the call God has given me in
the near future!
