The past three weeks my team has been in Nyamphande, Zambia
working with Nyamphande Orphanage and Community School. It is in rural Zambia
where electricity comes from a car battery and used only when absolutely
necessary.

There are over 800 children from surrounding villages who
attend school here and some 80 of them live in the orphanage. Unfortunately,
school went on holiday 3 days after our arrival and most of the children in the
orphanage went to visit distant relatives.

Ministry really started when we realized how prominent
witchcraft and voodoo were in the area. Spiritual warfare was intense and
several teammates where hit really hard. We were not sleeping well if at all
some or most nights. Others were having terrible dreams and others felt sick
most of the month. We prayed and prayed over the house, brought in the pastor
and an intercessor from the church to pray with us and got a little relief but
not a whole lot.

We were informed that some of
the people who attend church would pray with you on Sunday and against you
during the week. They would worship God and go home and worship idols. There
were many spirits over the area. The spirits of fear, anxiety, oppression,
depression and sexuality were very prominent. We felt all of these almost
immediately upon arrival. These became prayer points for the month.
