South Africa
God Rocks! Those two words
describe my month so far. On July 6 team Manna drove about 45 minutes out of
Nelspruit to Backdoor South Africa. We are working with IRIS ministries this
month and we will be helping open a Children’s Village. When Teisa, one of our
contacts, sat down with us and told us what we would have to do this month it
was obvious that God had brought our team here for a very specific reason. Each
and every one of us have gifts that this village needs right now in order to
open on July 18. Which it will take a miracle but I am confident that it will
happen!
So far
this month I have been painting a house that kids will live in. Let me give you
this vision really quick. Houses
where 8-12 kids will live with a father and mother. Eventually there will be a
school, Bible College, community center and crops for each child to make money
from. How awesome is that! So our goal is to help in every way possible to have
2 houses ready to be moved into on July 18 (opening day!!!). It wont be easy
but with your prayers it will happen. Here are some prayer points:
– Strength
to get all the work done.
– Supplies
to get all the work done.
– Prayers
that God will direct Jean and Teisa which children need to come to the homes.
o There
are about 300 children who currently need to be housed somewhere but they can
only take about 20 right now.
– More
house parents so more homes can be opened.
– The
children who will be moving here in a few short weeks!
