Hey guys…My name is Teresa and I am 22 years old. I just graduated from Penn State with a Bachelors in Kinesiology and Spanish so most of my undergraduate career was comprised of hours in the athletic training room, working on my thesis, and spending time with friends and family. My parents live about 10 minutes outside of State College and my older sister and younger brother, who also attend Penn State, live in town as well. My brother is a junior and my sister is a 1st year in a PhD program. I have two older brothers who are both married and live down south, and one BEAUTIFUL 3.5 year old niece. I was lucky enough to grow up in a Christian family so I have always been involved in the church. However, I really fell away from God while I was living abroad as an exchange student in Venezuela my junior year of high school. I had really been waivering in my faith since then, and I can honestly say that it wasn’t until I graduated in December that I was really able to focus on God instead of all the other menial things that I allowed to occupy my time during college. I have recently joined a campus bible study and have found a great group of Christians to support me and hold me accountable in my faith. I will not be starting my graduate studies until May 2009, and in my short time off, I felt led to pursue something more meaningful. I have always enjoyed mission work and I can’t wait for this next year to serve others and grow deeper in my relationship with the Lord.
